Bombo is a ceramic jug for transport, storage, and delivery of water. Inspired by an ancient earthenware jug known as Bummulu, which in the past was used to carry water from the villages to the countryside at the end of the long hot workdays, the project aims to offer a contemporary reinterpretation of what may be called an icon of the past rural life. The Bombo jug looks like a drop and it can hold up to three and a half liters of water. It is easy to carry and it can be used both indoor and outdoor. Designed by Clelia Valentino, it is made in Sicily and is available for €65 on Imperfetto Siciliano.
