Quality, quality, quality and more quality. This is what defines Domori, an Italian company located near Turin and specialized in the production of high-end chocolate. Yes indeed, high-end is the right definition because Domori, which belongs to the Gruppo Illy, is “the first chocolate company in the world to process only high-quality cocoa, also knows as aromatic cocoa”.The cocoa beans arrive directly from a farm in Venezuela “where people are working to rescue the few plants available that can draw the best cocoa even in unfavorable situations”.
I had the chance to meet the Domori team at the Seattle chocolate festival a few days ago and was able (lucky, I would say) to taste their fantastic products. However, what struck me the most was their chocolate made with 100% cacao criollo. If you turn the elegant little box and read the ingredients you’ll only find this: cocoa mass, gluten free. Period. No sugar, no nothing, just that. And it tastes good as well (especially if you pair it with a cup of Illy Caffè)!
